Bath & Body Works Builds on Fruit Fusion Momentum with Two New Juicy Fragrances

Following its debut this summer, Bath & Body Works is adding Cherry Crush and Plum Please to its fruit-forward body care franchise, Fruit Fusion, which pairs juicy fragrance with real benefits. The new scents will be available across Fine Fragrance Mist, All Day Moisture Body Wash, Moisturizing Body Lotion, Smooth & Soothe Body Cream and PocketSpray Hand Sanitizer.

The two scents joining Watermelon Whirl, Tangerine Twirl, Berry Bliss and Banana Blend, Cherry Crush and Plum Please read as fall without being seasonal, and both carry juicy benefits. 

Fruit Fusion is Bath & Body Works' Consumer First Formula in action, designed as an enduring franchise rather than a seasonal collection. Across the franchise, dermatologist-approved* body care pairs perfumer-crafted scent with ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and hyaluronic acid to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. The products are vegan and made without sulfates, parabens or phthalates.

“Fruit Fusion was created to bring together trend-forward fragrance and skincare benefits” said Kristie Lewis, executive vice president of merchandising. “The strong response from consumers confirmed we were building something bigger than a seasonal collection. Cherry Crush and Plum Please represent our commitment to new fragrance experiences that deliver the hydration benefits consumers love.”

 Cherry Crush was developed by Patty Hidalgo, VP, Perfumer and Andrew Everett, Perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), a global manufacturer of specialized scents, tastes and ingredients used in consumer goods. “For this project, we tasted every cherry we could get our hands on and worked closely with IFF flavorists to translate those real sensorial experiences into something modern, bright and truly one-of-a-kind,” they said. “Our goal wasn’t just to make a cherry, it was to unlock the next kind of cherry, one that feels dimensional, vibrant and completely new to the Bath & Body Works consumer.”

Plum Please was created by Ugo Charron and Gino Percontino at MANE, a global company that designs and manufactures custom fragrances and flavorings for the perfume, personal care, household and food industries. “It all began with a single plum, and from that moment, the scent came to life,” they said. “Gino has a plum tree in his backyard and is always bringing in the most beautiful, sun-ripened fruit. The day we tasted one together, inspiration struck instantly. Its juicy, radiant sweetness sparked the creative vision for Plum Please. We set out to bottle that burst of ripe, purple richness with succulent plum and strawberry notes, capturing the mouthwatering sensation of a plum splitting open.”

Beginning September 21 in select stores and online, Cherry Crush will be available in the U.S., Canada and international markets, while Plum Please will be available in the U.S. and Canada. Both scents will be offered in Fine Fragrance Mist, All Day Moisture Body Wash, Body Lotion, Smooth & Soothe Body Cream and PocketSpray Hand Sanitizer.
