Since joining Bath & Body Works at our Florence, AL store in October 2024, sales associate Blake McCulloch has brought product knowledge, heart, and a passion for fragrance to the sales floor that’s truly contagious.
Blake, who has hearing loss, recently received a special vest and buttons through our new Deaf and Hard of Hearing Associate Kits, launched in April 2025. These tools boost visibility and understanding, helping associates and customers connect more easily.
For Blake, this small but meaningful accommodation has made a big impact. “It made me feel seen and heard,” he shared. “Having hearing loss isn’t something that’s visible, so it can often be overlooked or unnoticed.”
The vest and buttons not only help customers recognize that Blake may communicate a little differently, but it also fosters patience and understanding—two things that go a long way in creating a welcoming shopping experience.
Blake’s enthusiasm is infectious. He loves talking about new product launches and takes genuine joy in helping customers discover their next favorite scent. Blake is known for asking customers about their “go-to” fragrances, which often leads them to share stories and preferences that help him guide them to something new.
His approach builds confidence and trust, and it’s not just customers who benefit. Blake’s teammates often find themselves inspired by his energy and product knowledge. “I love to see customers’ faces light up when they find their new favorite fragrance,” Blake said.
Blake McCulloch is more than a sales associate—he’s a brand ambassador, a fragrance enthusiast, and a shining example of how compassion can transform the customer experience.
