Sweet, Spooky, and Scream-Inducing: Summerween Is a Frighteningly Fast Sellout

Bath & Body Works is celebrating Halloween earlier than ever with its limited-edition Summerween Collection. Inspired by the delightfully eerie charm of Frankenstein’s Bakery, the collection blended sweet and spooky in a way that felt both nostalgic and totally fresh.

"We're fully embracing this exciting summer trend, which is now bigger than ever, with an incredible collection of fragrances and accessories which capture the true essence of the spooky season," says Betsy Schumacher, Chief Merchant at Bath & Body Works. "Halloween is one of our customers' favorite times of year and we're meeting them right where they are with the highest quality, trend-forward products to fit every mood and aesthetic."

Fan-favorite fragrances returned with a Summerween twist across body care, home fragrance, and accessories:

  • Vampire Blood – a cult favorite with notes of blood red strawberry, midnight jasmine, and dark plum.

  • Ghoul Friend – a sweet and spooky blend of dark strawberries, ghostly peony, and spine-chilling citrus.

  • Wicked Vanilla Woods – a haunting mix of magical vanilla, glowing amberwood, and enchanted pink pepper.

A brand-new scent, I-Scream Float, made its debut in a TikTok Shop-exclusive bundle—and sold out in under 24 hours. With fizzy root beer and creamy vanilla ice cream notes, it was the perfect spooky-sweet surprise. The bundle included fine fragrance mist, body wash, body cream, shimmer fizz body lotion, and PocketBac hand sanitizer.

One customer shares, “This was a blind buy score! Not only is packaging adorable but I actually really liked the scent”

But this wasn’t just a viral moment. It was a strategic move that reflects how Bath & Body Works is evolving to meet customers where they are. In 2024 and into 2025, there has been a surge in demand trend-driven storytelling. Summerween tapped into that momentum perfectly, and our presence on TikTok Shop made it possible to meet that customer demand instantly, right in the feed where our audience lives, scrolls, and shops. The Summerween launch is a prime example of how we’re listening to our customers, spotting emerging trends, and delivering what they want where they want it.

The media took notice, too. Apartment Therapy called the collection “scarry good,” while Parade said fans “may have broken their own record” with this launch. That kind of buzz is a testament to the brand’s creative vision, speed, and ability to tap into what customers want

Summerween is a signal that seasonal reinvention is here to stay, and Bath & Body Works is leading the way.
