Associates For Associates (A4A) Emergency Fund

Since 2005, our Associates for Associates Emergency Fund (A4A) has enabled our associates to help one another in times of need. Administered by the Columbus Foundation with funds donated by associates and matched by the Bath & Body Works Foundation, A4A provides monetary aid or makes community resources available to associates experiencing situations of crisis, such as fire destruction, a serious medical condition, or a natural disaster.

In 2025, our matched fundraising totaled $527,920 assisting over 296 associates in need.

Associates for Associates is one of the many reasons I love Bath & Body Works. I feel like the company has my back no matter what life throws my way. And it's such a personal way to give — knowing that the person supported by Associates for Associates dollars and I have something that connects us. It's one of the easiest ways to give back and be certain that your dollars are making a difference.

Ready to Volunteer?

Bath & Body Works is proud to partner with Besa, a Columbus-based 501(c)(3) that connects volunteers with local charities — from food pantries and community gardens to homeless shelters and senior homes. Besa harnesses the passion and commitment of our home office associates by working with non-profit partners to create group volunteer experiences, along with other unique services that elevate our overall impact in the community. Associates can log in to the Bath & Body Works volunteer site to search for group volunteer activities.

Bath & Body Works exhibits a culture of giving that is world-class — and world-changing. They consistently explore needs and find creative ways to fill them, whether it's collecting school supplies for children or donating personal hygiene items for women escaping abuse. And when unexpected emergencies arise, they meet the moment — whether it's with financial support, products or people power. Their efforts to uplift the community set the bar for companies not just in Columbus but nationwide.

Associate Nonprofit Board Service

Bath & Body Works’ leaders have incredible skill sets that have the power to ignite change, not just for one organization, but for the community as a whole. To support our senior leaders in matching their skills and passions with causes at national, regional and local levels, we partner with an external consultant for board matching and training opportunities. In 2025, we matched our fourth cohort with nonprofit boards. As of the end of fiscal 2025, we have associates serving on 39 nonprofit governing boards.

Serving on the Mid-Ohio Food Collective board has been a meaningful way to give back while advancing Bath & Body Works’ commitment to supporting those in need. MOFC’s innovative approach to addressing food insecurity aligns with our funding priorities and my personal passion for supporting women and children. I’m proud to help deepen this partnership and contribute to lasting, positive change across Central Ohio.

Giving Spotlight

For Global Volunteer Month, we recognized teams and individuals across the organization who embody our “Be Generous” value. Jenny Hronek volunteers with organizations across Columbus. From food and diaper banks to animal shelters and the Columbus Zoo, Jenny loves to share these experiences with her daughters to teach them about the challenges many others face. One of her most impactful memories made as a volunteer happened while working with LifeTown Columbus, a 5,000 square-foot indoor functioning city that assists students with disabilities in developing life skills necessary for transitioning into adult independency.

“Seeing how the organization embraces, works with and educates their community was extremely humbling and heart-warming.”
