Behind the Scenes: Bringing Disney’s Rapunzel to Life Through Expertly Crafted Fragrance

Bath & Body Works’ newest collaboration celebrates the timeless magic of the Disney Princesses through expertly crafted fragrance and captivating designs. The collection introduces brand-new fragrances inspired by the stories of Aurora, Rapunzel, Snow White and Mulan, along with the new hero scent, Life’s a Fairytale. Fan-favorite Princesses Tiana and Belle also return with refreshed packaging. Each fragrance was developed to reflect its Princess’s spirit, strength and resilience, bringing their world to life through scent.

As part of this launch, Bath & Body Works is offering a behind-the-scenes look into the fragrance development process. This spotlight features the creation of Disney’s Rapunzel.

In the new Disney Princess Collection, the Rapunzel fragrance reflects her strong sense of curiosity about the world and her courage to push herself forward. The scent features notes of glowing sundrop flower, rich nectar and golden musk that reflect her contagious enthusiasm and optimistic personality.

Like all Bath & Body Works’ products, it was expertly crafted in partnership with the world’s top fragrance houses and perfumers. Bath & Body Works collaborated with IFF perfumers Jean Marc Chaillan and Laurent Le Guernec to capture Rapunzel’s unique essence. They described the fragrance as “inspired by strands of golden light woven with sweetness—warm, comforting and quietly enchanting.”

Bergamot and nectarine blossom create a luminous opening, followed by the glow of sundrop flower. Honeyed rich nectar radiates warmth at the heart of the fragrance, while golden musk, glowing amber and blonde woods deliver a comforting finish.

Disney’s Rapunzel fragrance is available across body care and home, including fine fragrance mists, body cream and body wash, hand soap, 3-wick candles and more. The collection also offers customized accessories such as coin purses, PocketBac holders, candle pedestals and Wallflower heaters.
