From Mainstage to Must Have: How Bath & Body Works Scented Up Some of the Hottest Festivals

It’s festival season—and while fans came for the music, Bath & Body Works gave them something unforgettable to take home: scent memories.

At Just Like Heaven and Sand in My Boots, Bath & Body Works debuted its first-ever Scent & Sound Lab, an immersive experience that invited festivalgoers to pair their favorite Bath & Body Works fragrance with a song. The result? A personalized scent-memory connection that brought emotion, nostalgia, and joy to life—core to who they are as a brand.

“This is more than a pop-up—it’s a storytelling platform that reinforces Bath & Body Works’ belief in the emotional power of fragrance,” said Jamie Sohosky, Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re advocates for scent’s role in life’s special moments—and the everyday ones, too.”

 🎶 At Just Like Heaven
Held May 10 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, this one-day festival drew an estimated 30,000 attendees and featured artists like Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, and Courtney Barnett. Our Lab was a standout moment in a day full of sensory highs.

🎤 At Sand in My Boots
On Alabama’s Gulf Shore, country singer-songwriter Ella Langley hosted a meet-and-greet at the Lab and created original social content. She told People that Bath & Body Works scents have always brought her a sense of memory and nostalgia. (Check out the brand’s Instagram post featuring Ella!)

From the mainstage to the memory bank, Bath & Body Works made a bold, sensory splash at two of the year’s most buzzed-about festivals. By blending scent with sound, Bath & Body Works created immersive, emotional moments that linger long after the music fades. And as festivalgoers danced, explored, and connected, they also discovered something new about themselves—through the power of fragrance.
