Bath & Body Works has a long-standing culture of giving back and helping to make a positive impact on the lives of its associates, customers and communities across Ohio and beyond. As a partner of Pelotonia for over 16 years, Bath & Body Works is proud to be the organization’s largest funding partner, having contributed more than $49 million to date to end cancer.

Founded in 2008, Columbus, Ohio-based 501c(3) Pelotonia has raised $339 million to date for innovative, breakthrough research to end cancer. This organization contributes to the full spectrum of cancer research—from basic discovery, to new drug development and clinical applications around the world... and it awards scholarships to uplift the next generation of cancer researchers, to help acquire advanced imaging and to fund drug development tools. Just this summer, a landmark drug was discovered by scientists at The Ohio State University and led to a new clinical trial for patients with few remaining treatment options.

“Pelotonia is hard to describe if you haven’t experienced it,” noted Danielle Demko, EVP of Merchandising, Planning and Allocation at Bath & Body Works. “It’s not just a cycling event; it’s thousands of people coming together with a united goal to end cancer. People ride in honor of someone they love, to celebrate another year of survivorship, and to fuel the research that will change lives.”

Pelotonia’s annual Ride Weekend welcomes thousands of people from across the country to bike anywhere from 20 to nearly 200 miles. In 2025 alone, Bath & Body Works’ 325 riders, runners and hikers, 203 challengers, and 80 volunteers traveled a collective 12,914 miles or 20,783 km —the equivalent of driving from one U.S. coast to another and back again! Or, on a more global scale, that’s nearly a round trip between New York City and Tokyo.

For many, Pelotonia is not a one-time commitment. This event draws participants back year after year to work together towards the goal of ending cancer for good.

“Even after 16 years of participating in Pelotonia myself, I’m blown away by how this team shows up each year,” said Rhoe Fields, AVP of Community Relations and Philanthropy at Bath & Body Works. “Because of our support, Pelotonia funded the first tele-health clinical trial where treatment was delivered by mail making patient care and treatment accessible to all.”

Thanks to the dedication of its associates, Bath & Body Works recently announced that the company raised $1,336,893 in 2025 alone. During the company’s December 2025 town hall, Fields presented Pelotonia CEO Joe Apgar with a ceremonial check and words of appreciation for participants.

“I thank everyone who showed up to support—by riding, by donating, by cheering,” Fields said. “The time, effort, and empathy means so much to the lives of so many... And I know I don’t only speak for myself when I express how proud I am of this team and the work and impact we make beyond our own walls.”
